Oystercatcher Cottage

This
Cottage was the first guest accommodation
built at Elm Tree and remains the most popular. Handmade Batavian
floor tiles and the bamboo shaded stoep keep it cool during the
summer months.
Take a walk down to the shore
and you will see many pairs of the endangered African Black
Oystercatcher, which thrive amongst the boulders on the beaches along
this part of the coast.

The accommodation consists
of two light and
airy twin bedrooms each having wardrobes, chests of drawers
and reading lamps.
The cute upstairs loft
room, with 2 single beds is reached by a ladder and looks
down through a railing onto the double volume living area.

The large open plan living
area has couches and a television, there is a cosy dining alcove and
a neat, attractive kitchen, with an oven, two hotplates, and a microwave for cooking;
a
fridge with a small freezer compartment; a toaster, kettle and
tea and coffee making facilities too. There is ample
cupboard space and plenty of crockery, cutlery,
pots and pans.
There is a spacious bathroom with toilet, sink and shower.
Double doors from the living area
lead onto the stoep with built-in braai which overlooks the harbour.
With the
fishing boats coming and going there is always something to see.
